Believe it or not, but we’re already more than one-quarter complete with 2012. It’s high time we ask: How are those New Year’s resolutions panning out?

It wouldn’t be shocking if they are dead in the water. Life kind of — and often does — get in the way of making good on dreams and goals, especially when they’re not something that comes natural like cracking into real estate investing.

However, we’re here to pass along a friendly reminder that resolutions will only stick if you keep at them. And money investing in real estate investing can only be made, well, if you make the initial investment.

The good news is there (still) has never been a better time than right now to get in the game.

Short sales and foreclosures offer opportunities every which way you turn: For buyers, it can mean mega-profits, while for homeowners, it may be a way out of dire financial situations that have been holding them back.

The April 2012 edition of Foreclosure.com’s free educational newsletter, “Investment Exchange,” is now available, which is loaded with all kinds of resources to get you, your credit and your distressed real estate investment career back on track.

The national mortgage crisis has certainly taken its toll on the United States economy.

From one coast to the other, the effects have been pervasive and far-reaching. People have lost their homes. Banks are now being held accountable for unfair foreclosures. Real estate investors, agents and brokers have been forced to change their tack or get lost in the shuffle.

But, it’s not all bad news.

First, the government has stepped up and is pledging to correct the flaws in the mortgage industry that allowed the mortgage crisis to occur in the first place. Second, ordinary people have a new and relatively low-risk way to invest their money and make a far greater return than with virtually any other investment of comparable risk. Distressed real estate can be bought at a fraction of market value, which means tremendous financial growth potential for investors.

In addition, investing in distressed real estate is the only way to reinvigorate the market and balance out supply and demand. Therefore, by getting involved you can not only make serious money, but also do your part to stabilize the economy.

The February 2012 edition of Foreclosure.com’s free educational newsletter, “Investment Exchange,” is now available, which details the silver lining of the foreclosure mess, in particular, how you can make the best out of a bad situation.

This month, we’re talking about foreclosures and preforeclosures and what you need to know to get involved. Isn’t it about time your investments started paying off? Perhaps more important, isn’t about time you finally got in the game?

Stop dreaming, start profiting.

Believe it or not, but we’re nearly finished with January. How are those New Year commitments working out so far, eh?

If you aren’t as on track as you’d hoped, you are definitely not alone. Making big changes in your life can seem overwhelming, especially when it comes to your finances.

And getting overwhelmed throws many people off track.

Don’t let it happen to you! Now is the time to pursue your real estate investment goals and recommit to growing your wealth through foreclosures, short sales, bankruptcies, rent-to-own homes and more.

Yes, now is the time to recommit, but not only now. Success in life takes courage and perseverance. Recommit to your goals not just once or twice, but every single day. You’ll be amazed at the changes that come your way if only you can focus on your goals!

Look for the shabbiest house on the nicest block in town. Spruce it up. Sell for profit.

That’s a real estate investing recipe for success more often than not, especially if you can discern between money pits and money makers. When it comes to flipping foreclosures, or even purchasing a discounted distressed property as a primary residence, it’s critical to spot the “diamond in the rough” before someone else beats you to it.

Distressed properties are often in less than tip-top shape, but it’s that shabby exterior that is concealing the massive opportunity for riches for those investors who know how to take advantage of great deals when they see them.

Spotting a diamond in the rough isn’t difficult, but it does take the right knowledge and an open mind. You need to be able to see past the unsightly condition of a home that has turned off other investors to determine if it is really worth your while.

The September 2011 edition of Foreclosure.com’s free educational newsletter, “Investment Exchange,” is now available, which shows you how to find and capitalize on those diamond-in-the-rough properties that are just waiting for an investor like you

Learn how to hone your detective skills to uncover these amazing deals before your competition does. The potential financial rewards will be well worth your time.

Potential real estate buyers who plan to apply for mortgages to finance their home purchases must have pristine credit reports … or as close as possible. Especially in today’s credit conscious environment — big banks and lenders that got burned with loosey-goosey credit restrictions from a few years ago can’t afford to make the same mistakes twice.

Repairing damaged credit isn’t impossible. It doesn’t even have to be difficult or complicated, as long as you have the right tools and the right education.

Learn easy-to-implement tips for boosting your credit, where to get free credit advice, how to put your best foot forward when applying for a mortgage and much more.
