BTW, I’d just thought I’d pop back in here a minute and convey some
badly-needed Good News regarding housing – I got a TurboTax email newsletter the other day outling Obama’s changes in the tax code:

“First-time Homebuyer’s Credit: The tax package increases the $7,500 first-time homebuyer credit to $8,000 for primary residences purchased between Jan. 1, 2009 and Nov. 30, 2009, and eliminates the requirement that the credit be repaid, as long as the house isn’t sold within three years.”

The credit goes from $7500 to $8000 and is NO LONGER a “LOAN”!:-)

I don’t know about today, but I checked yesterday(?), and there still
wasn’t single bid on it. I featured that property on my RE “Pick o’ the
week” on my blog – I would LOVE to be able to afford it – if you’re gonna
live in tornado alley, THAT’S the place to be!;-)
