WordPress plugins for national foreclosure listings

Foreclosure.com today rolled out a groundbreaking WordPress-compatible plugin that allows bloggers, real estate agents and others to instantly add more than 1.2 million listings to their Web sites with just a few mouse clicks.

The new WordPress Foreclosure Listings Plugin delivers a powerful real estate search capability, complete with property thumbnails and aerial photos.

In addition, Realtors® and others in the real estate business who download the plugin will be able to access and view their roster of clients for future contact, creating a list of qualified leads that can be used for other outreach purposes.

Perhaps more exciting, according to Foreclosure.com Director of Partner Relations, Zack Preble, is that those who download the plugin and feature it on their blogs will also share in any revenue that their Web sites generate.

Here’s a snip from Zack:

“Our plugin partners have the ability to literally enhance the content on their sites exponentially in a matter of seconds and then profit from it continually without lifting a finger. It’s leading-edge technology that is easy to use and install — anyone can do it…. Content, money and leads … and it takes seconds to set up and there is no maintenance. It doesn’t get any better than that.”

The WordPress Foreclosure Listings Plugin delivers a complete real estate search and navigation environment quickly and easily by querying the Foreclosure.com database in real-time. Once a partner activates the program, the plugin will automatically create a WordPress page and a search widget.

It’s that simple.

How is the “WordPress Plugin” different from the this foreclosure.com affiliate code? Or is it the same thing just branded differently?

does the blog reader need to register before they see the listings?

Alan,

The code you are referring to is Lava. It is a javascript that generates our maps and search results. The functionality is very similar to the WordPress plugin. There are subtle differences in the actual functionality. The main difference is that the plugin is written specifically for webmasters who have blogs powered by WordPress. One clear advantage of the plugin is that the data is fetched and served by the blog so there is an SEO benefit.

Robb,

The plugin allows users to see valuable data without registering (Street, City, State, Zip, beds, bath, price, property type). In order to see the complete listing details, he/she must register. Anyone who installs the plugin can make money from subscription registrations by joining the our affiliate program and entering the RSP (unique partner ID) in the plugin configuration under the WordPress admin section.

I am interested in learning more about this program

Wow, thank you for blogging about this plugin. This reminds me strongly on the various shop plugins that exist, like to insert eBay ads.
This plugin though will come handy for one of my blogs.

That was a great post. I will have to bookmark this site so I can read it later.

I love this plugin! It’s the best thing that’s happened to my site this year. And that’s saying a lot because I totally rebuilt it into a wordpress blog at the start of the year and am very proud of it now. Thanks Zack and everyone else involved in putting this together.

Love the plugin!!!!Thanks so much for the blog.

Thanks for this great post.. and thanks for adding our comment to the blog!

How timely. What a great use for a WordPress plug in. I wish I had thought of it. I just love this platform. Possibilities are endless.

Great blog, i have a quick question. what is the best way to purchase delinquent tax lien homes or vehicles. i’ve seen many scams come and go. which is best? thanks steve

Interesting fact from the IRS. “We will issue a Release of the Notice of Federal Tax Lien: Within 30 days after you satisfy the tax due (including interest and other additions) by paying the debt or by having it adjusted, or Within 30 days after we accept a bond that you submit, guaranteeing payment of the debt.” This is in regards to tax liens, you can find more on the IRS site which will give you great data. Thanks, John

Does the state of NM do anything similar when they have a tax lien on a property?

Well, this plug-in works wonderfully. I can attest that on all of our affiliate sites the pages cached in Google have gone exponential. In fact, we can attribute a great increase in visitors simply from having the plugin working and drawing in visitors.

This is a timely find. It suits perfectly well for my real estate site. I wonder if it has a search function on it.

Wow, that’s awesome!

Great plugin! It’s amazing how people can help you in your business freely:-) Thanks for bringing it up!

Jeff

After rising foreclosures and the expiration of buyer tax credits that boosted demand early in the year, Zillow Inc. said US home values will probably drop this year. Home prices may drop as much as 11 percent more through the first quarter of 2012 before finding a bottom, according to a recent Morgan Stanley report.

Agreed that with payment buyers they will be in for a shock if rates move from 5% to 6%. That is a 20% increase and we all know it could happen overnight. If it has a corresponding effect on Prices then we are in for big trouble.

Fair enough, though I’m not sure I agree that government involvement has really turned out that well. Countries like Australia have similar homeownership rates without mortgage interest deductions, and I believe much of the volatility in our housing market is a result of these government programs
